We welcome transfer applications from learners who are looking to become part of the Hoërskool Birchleigh community. If you are planning to move your child from another school, please follow the process below:

Step-by-Step Process

1. Notify the Current School
   Inform your child’s current school of the intention to transfer. Request the following documents:

   • Transfer card

   • Latest school report

   • Learner profile

2. Apply to Hoërskool Birchleigh
   Submit your application along with the required documents:

   • Completed application form (available from the school office or upon request)

   • Transfer card from the previous school

   • Certified copy of the learner’s birth certificate or ID

   • Most recent report card

   • Proof of residence

   • Immunisation record (for Grade 8 learners)

3. Review and Admission
   Our admissions team will assess space availability and review the application. Please note that acceptance depends on available capacity and meeting academic and conduct requirements.

4. Finalise Registration
   If accepted, you will be contacted to finalise the registration process. Please ensure all documentation is complete and submitted before the learner begins attending classes.

Additional Information

• Mid-year transfers are considered on a case-by-case basis.

• Transfer documents may not be withheld due to unpaid fees, but outstanding fees remain payable to the previous school.

• All admissions are processed in line with the Gauteng Department of Education guidelines.
